I have wanted to blog for a while.

I wrote a few posts once and I think one of my friends (Karen, thanks girl!) read them. Then I stopped.

And repeat until we get to this point…

Here we go again!

So why have I started again? Well it is not entirely by choice but a recommendation for my own good.

To set the context for those reading in the future. It is Tuesday April 28th 2020, we are mid lockdown from Covid-19, it’s unknown when life will return to ‘normal’, if ever and I am embarking on a new journey.

I have passed the application stages to be accepted onto Makers Academy Apprenticeship and I hope to be starting my official journey with MA come July, as long as the world takes a chill pill!

A good mix of excited and i’m absolutely sh*tting myself!

In the meantime, I have been reading many, many, many blogs from those who have come before me on MA. From all walks of life, people thrust themselves into a life changing 12 week bootcamp with the hopes and dreams of changing their career to work in software development.

It seems MA suggest blogging as a tool to solidify your learning. If you are able to explain it to others, then you should have some grasp on what you have learnt — or so you would hope! My aim is you mum!

At the moment, I am taking someones advice — unfortunately I can’t remember whose- to get ahead of the game pre programme and learn as much as you can before you start. This has currently lead me to a whole bunch of stuff I have broken, but we persevere and keep pushing on.

How I think I look blogging! Definitely more of a hot mess!

So I am going to give it a bash. This blog is mostly for my own purposes but you are all welcome to follow along on my journey too and with any luck by October, I will have a new career, a sh*t tonne of new skills and a great blog of my journey and experiences to boot.

For now, I am gonna return to my rabbit hole of learning, but I will be back (I hope) to let you know what I have been up to and what I have learnt!

Bai Felicia!
